Terms of Service
Effective 2 November 2026
These terms apply to the Unit Converter app for iPhone, including its widget, provided by Sufian (“I”, “me”). By using the app you agree to them. They add to Apple's Standard EULA; if the two conflict, the Standard EULA applies.
1. Who can use the app
The app is suitable for all ages. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms and to any purchase.
2. Check results that matter
Unit Converter is a general reference tool. Conversions are provided for information and may be affected by rounding, display settings or errors in source data.
- Exchange rates are reference rates from third-party sources. They can be out of date and are not the rates a bank or exchange service will give you. They are not financial advice.
- Critical uses: do not rely on the app alone for medical dosing, aviation, navigation, engineering, legal, safety or financial decisions. Verify results independently.
3. Your data
The Privacy Policy explains how data is handled. Your favorites and history stay on your iPhone and are not backed up by me, so I cannot restore them if they are lost.
4. Free and paid features
The free version includes the Length converter, smart-search answers, history, browsing the Units catalog, and Length favorites. Unit Converter Pro adds every other converter including Currency, favorites outside Length, and the Quick Pair widget.
Unit Converter Pro is offered as:
- Pro Monthly: an auto-renewing subscription, $1.99 per month.
- Pro Yearly: an auto-renewing subscription, $9.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.
- Pro Lifetime: a one-time purchase, $24.99, with no renewal.
These are US prices. Prices in other regions and currencies may differ, and the price shown in the app before you buy is the one that applies.
5. Subscriptions, trials and refunds
- Payment: Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm a purchase. For a free trial, the first charge comes when the trial ends unless you cancel.
- Auto-renewal: a subscription renews for the same period at the current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. If a price changes, you will be told as Apple's rules require.
- Cancelling: go to iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or Manage subscription in the app. Pro stays active until the end of the paid period. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Trial: if you buy a subscription during a trial, any unused part of the trial may end, as Apple's rules provide.
- Refunds: Apple handles all billing and refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. I cannot issue them.
- Restoring: use Restore purchases in the app or in Settings, signed in with the same Apple Account.
- Lifetime: “Lifetime” means for as long as the app is offered and supported on your device. It does not cancel an existing subscription; you must do that yourself.
- Family Sharing: available for Pro Yearly and Pro Lifetime, not for Pro Monthly.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the app unlawfully, or try to bypass its purchase checks. Do not copy, reverse engineer or resell it, except where the law or Apple's Standard EULA allows.
7. Apple services and third parties
Purchases and your Apple Account are subject to Apple's terms. Exchange rates come from third-party services that I do not control, and they may be unavailable or change. When rates cannot be updated, the app shows the last ones it has and how old they are.
8. Intellectual property
The app, its design and its name belong to me or my licensors. You receive a licence to use the app as set out in Apple's Standard EULA. Your purchases do not transfer ownership.
9. Changes to the app and these terms
I may add, change or remove features, and I may stop offering the app. If these terms change, I will update this page and its effective date. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.
10. Termination
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it, and cancelling any subscription separately. Your licence ends automatically if you break these terms.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent the law allows, the app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses from relying on a conversion or exchange rate. As set out in Apple's Standard EULA, my total liability is limited to fifty US dollars ($50.00). Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
13. App Store terms
- These terms are between you and me, not Apple. I, not Apple, am responsible for the app and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price of the app, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- Apple is not responsible for claims relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection or privacy claims, or claims that the app infringes someone's intellectual property.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo, and are not on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
14. General
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where I am established, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in the country where you live. If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
