Privacy Policy

Effective 2 November 2026

In short: Unit Converter has no account, analytics, ads or tracking. Your favorites, history and settings stay on your iPhone. The app connects to the internet to download exchange rates, and Apple handles purchases.

1. Introduction

This policy explains how the Unit Converter app for iPhone, including its Home Screen widget, handles information. The app is provided by Sufian (“I”, “me”). The app does not send your information to me.

2. Information you enter

The values you type, the units you choose, your favorites and your settings are used to make the app work. The app saves your recent conversions as history: the value you typed, the result, the units and the date. It keeps the newest 500. You can turn this off in Settings → History & data → Save history.

3. Where your data is stored

Favorites, history, settings, your Pro status and cached exchange rates are stored on your iPhone and shared only between the app and its own widget. The app has no iCloud sync and no server of its own. Your device backups may include this data, depending on how you set them up with Apple.

4. Exchange rates and network requests

The app's own network requests download exchange rates. They go to:

These requests do not include your conversions, favorites, history or any identifier from the app. As with any internet request, these services can see your IP address and basic connection details, and they handle them under their own policies. I do not receive this information, and I do not control these services.

Rates can refresh when you open the app, in the background, and when you pull to refresh. You can limit automatic refresh to Wi-Fi or turn it off in Settings. To apply the Wi-Fi setting, the app checks your connection type on the device.

5. Notifications

If you start a free trial, the app may ask to send notifications. If you allow it, a reminder is scheduled on your iPhone before the trial ends. It is a local notification, not sent through a server. You can withdraw permission at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications.

6. Widget and clipboard

The widget reads your pairs, exchange rates and Pro status from the storage it shares with the app. The app puts text on the clipboard when you use Copy, and reads the clipboard only when you tap the system Paste button.

7. Purchases and ratings

Unit Converter Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment and your Apple Account under Apple's privacy policy. The app checks with the App Store, on your iPhone, which purchases your account owns. It never sees your card details. If you rate the app, that goes through Apple too.

8. Analytics and crash reports

The app contains no analytics or crash-reporting software and no third-party SDKs. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may give me crash reports and aggregated usage figures. You can change this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

9. If you email me

Contact support and Suggest a unit open your own mail app. A support email is prefilled with the app version, iOS version and device model, and you can edit or delete that before sending. If you send it, I receive your email address and message in my Gmail inbox, hosted by Google. I use them only to reply, keep them only as long as needed for that, and delete them if you ask.

10. What the app never does

11. Exporting and deleting your data

12. Security

Your data stays within the app's protected storage on iOS, and exchange rates are downloaded over encrypted HTTPS connections. No method is perfectly secure, so please keep your iPhone protected with a passcode.

13. Data retention

Data on your iPhone stays until you delete it or delete the app, except that history keeps only the newest 500 entries, and new exchange rates replace older ones. Support emails are kept as described in section 9.

14. Your rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR and CCPA may give you rights to access, correct, delete or object to the use of your personal data, and to complain to a data protection authority. The data in the app is on your device, so you control it directly using section 11. For anything you have emailed me, write to the address below. I will not treat you differently for using these rights. You can withdraw any consent by turning off the permission or feature concerned, or by deleting the app.

15. Children's privacy

The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a child has emailed me and you would like that message deleted, please contact me.

16. Changes to this policy

If the app's handling of data changes, I will update this page and its effective date before or when that version is released.
